[edit] Information

Charley Boorman's USA Adventure Following the success of his previous two expeditions across Canada and South Africa, Charley is back on his bike and this time he is taking on one of the most spectacular countries in the world, The United States of America. Travelling alongside fellow adventurer and director Russ Malkin, this series follows the pair from the volcanic infernos of Hawaii to the icy peaks of Alaska, and then from east to west as they venture off the beaten track to go in search of extreme adventures in the wilderness. This is a journey that tests Charley to the max as he is confronted with some of the most spine tingling challenges he has ever faced. The high risks and low margins for error bring out Charley s humour and the camaraderie he has with those who often hold his life in their hands.

[edit] Part 1

Charley explores America and begins by camping out on the volatile lava fields of Hawaii, before making his way to Alaska to climb Mount McKinley. He then makes his way to Boston before travelling on to Alabama where he joins the crew of a tall ship.

[edit] Part 2

Charley makes his way to North Carolina, where he goes wreck diving, takes a look around a scuttled German U-boat, and gets the chance to enjoy a smokehouse hog roast. He then travels on to Charlotte, where he takes part in a War of Independence re-enactment.

[edit] Part 3

Charley goes potholing with a rescue team in Georgia and then meets some Mississippi loggers. He then pays a visit to the historic city of New Orleans before going frogging in Louisiana.

[edit] Part 4

Charley goes underground to watch some mining machines in action. At the Bonneville Salt Flats, he attempts to get himself in the record books. He then pays a visit to the hottest place on earth, which ends up being a wash-out. He then makes his way to his final destination, Los Angeles.
