Countrywise: Winter Wonderland A special seasonal edition of the rural series with Paul Heiney, Liz Bonnin and Ben Fogle. Far from falling quiet in the winter months, the countryside actually comes alive this time of year. They take a trip around the UK finding out about the magical moments that only happen at this very special time of year. Ben Fogle climbs Helvellyn in the Lake District with the man whose job it is to battle the elements on the mountain every day. Paul takes to the skies and experiences the stunning landscape of the Peak District from a glider. Liz Bonnin travels to Cambridgeshire to witness the incredible sight of thousands of swans migrating to the Fens as they flee the arctic Russian winters.
