[edit] Information

Death Row tells the fascinating and controversial story of crime and the death penalty. Over the period of a year, Herzog interviewed inmates in America as they awaited their death - one has now been executed - and uncovered brutal stories of rape and murder. Death Row is not so much about capital punishment but a deep and intriguing insight into the limits of human experience to discover what it feels like to know how and when you will die.

During Ramadan, he called in homicide detectives, and confessed to a previous murder of a woman. He committed numerous crimes. He is repentant, and accepts full responsibility. In conversation, he does not appear a monster at all.

[edit] Joseph Garcia and George Rivas

Garcia's case is one of a tragic outcome from an everyday event, and a punishment out of proportion. He was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the murder of a young man. Drunk and jealous of the attention his ex-girlfriend was paying to Garcia, Garcia's victim started a fight, which ended with Garcia fatally stabbing him. Garcia subsequently participated in a prison break masterminded by George Rivas. Rivas had received 18 consecutive life sentences for robberies during which he locked away employees of stores without ever harming anyone.
