This program deals with the aftermath of the Nivelle Offensive of 1917. The ‘mutiny’ by French soldiers because they were ‘weary’ of the sacrifices being asked of them, placed the outcome of the war in jeopardy for the Allies. The context for this program provides a valuable, non British, overview of World War 1.
