Rescue Dog To Super Dog Series pairing dogs from rescue centres around the UK with six people with disabilities. Aided by two of the country's top dog trainers, the aim is to transform the canine companions into disability helper dogs in 12 weeks.

[edit] Part 1

The first edition meets 26-year-old Emily, who has narcolepsy and cataplexy, meaning she can collapse up to 30 times a day, and desperately wants a dog to guard her when she passes out in the street. Meanwhile, Alan, who has Tourette's, wants a dog to support him during his tic attacks, which sometimes leave him hospitalised.

[edit] Part 2

The series pairing rescue dogs with six people with disabilities continues, as specialist dog trainers Jo-Rosie Haffenden and Nando Brown help to find two more suitable canine companions. This episode features 12-year-old Dom, who has muscular dystrophy, and Enola, who suffers from Morquio syndrome, as they are paired with a Dalmatian and a toy poodle respectively.

[edit] Part 3

The team helps to find disability helper dogs for Manchester-based Paula, who has a faulty immune system, and second year student Ellie with cerebral palsy. Paula is matched with a Staffordshire bull terrier called Stanley, and hopes a dog will be able to help her with challenging daily tasks and provide her with invaluable companionship. Meanwhile, Ellie desperately needs support as she becomes an independent adult, but it remains to be seen whether rescue puppy Zamba is the answer.
