[edit] Information

Russia's superfighter, the Sukhoi SU-27 Flanker is one of the most powerful and exciting aircraft the in the world today. During this program, legendary test pilot Anatoly Kvochur clearly demonstrates the power and versatility of the SU-27 as the aircraft is put through its paces in a series of stunning sequences. For the first time on-board cameras put you in the seat of this awesome jet fighter, as it performs at the Farnborough Airshow. Ex-Harrier test pilot John Farley OBE recalls the first western display by the SU-27 and explains what it takes to perform the incredible 'tailslide' and 'cobra' maneuvers. We take to the air again as Anatoly Kvochur flies the SU-27 on an extended display routine, including no less than six cobras. He describes in detail what really happened when his MiG-29 crashed at the Paris Airshow in 1989, as we document his remarkable escape and successful return to the display circuit on this highly acclaimed program.
