[edit] Information

This is a wild, natural domain where crystal clear lakes brimming with trout reflect a silver-hued sky. There are dramatic sandstone coastlines, craggy alpine peaks, wild rivers and endless beaches.

Tassie is a living relic of the ancient subcontinent Gondwana. Its rare plants and unique animals and birdlife are reason enough to experience this island at the ends of the earth, let alone all the opportunities for adventure in the Tasmanian wilderness. Tasmania's wonders have been officially recognised through the development of a host of national parks and by a UNESCO World Heritage Listing that takes in almost a third of the island.

Whether you're after a gentle holiday or an adventurous one, there's a Tasmanian experience to suit everyone. And afterwards, you can relax and enjoy the State's great food and wine and thriving cultural scene, or share adventure tales in front of a fireplace in an enchanting hundred-year-old pub.
