The life of the wildebeest, a creature commonly regarded as stupid and lumbering, but which has emerged as one of Africa's success stories. Using a number of unusual strategies to keep its population flourishing, the species maintains a 'super herd' able to thrive on the plains seemingly without fear of predators.
