[edit] Information

A series of documentaries that shed an intimate light on life after dark in some of Britain's more hidden locations.

[edit] The Nightclub Toilet

The Nightclub Toilet provides a unique perspective of the dramas, emotions and comical occurrences that take place behind the doors of a lively nightclub washroom. Filmed across four nights, the documentary joins the toilet attendants working in the ladies and gents loos of a busy Crawley nightclub, capturing the conversations, events and grooming habits of partygoers. Divided by a sign on the door, two very different and unexplored worlds exist within the toilet. Girls don't know what happens in the gents, boys don't know what happens in the ladies, but by nightfall both these rooms are bursting with action.

[edit] The Minicab Office

On a Saturday night more than 12,000 people sometimes grace Prince of Wales Road, Norwich's nightlife hotspot. With door staff, a taxi marshal and a waiting area for up to 50 customers, Courtesy Taxis is a go-to place for the legions of revellers heading home when the pubs and clubs close their doors. Up All Night looks inside this post-party haven, revealing what it's like to wrangle the riotous, deal with the delightful and help the homeward-bound in Norwich's city centre. Owner Mark Streeter moved the firm to Prince of Wales Road in 2009 to create somewhere safe and warm where people could wait for their taxi home. Up to 1000 people each night come through controller Linzi and telephonist Sam's doors, some of them more sober and better behaved than others. The firm has 57 cars and drivers, including Carlton, who has 18 years' experience, and Emma, the firm's only female driver. Chauffeuring the wild and wonderful of Norfolk, the drivers encounter banter, abuse and the odd striptease.

[edit] Britain on Call

Who do you call when things go wrong in the night? When night falls most of us are tucked up in our beds, but the working day isn't over for everyone. A growing army of dedicated professionals are waiting to answer our call and come to the rescue in our moment of need. These are not the emergency services workers with flashing blue lights, but the unsung heroes of the night: plumbers, GPs, car breakdown mechanics, vets... Britain on Call goes on the road with Manchester's night workers and witnesses the shocking, hilarious and revealing moments they have to deal with every night.
