[edit] Information

Apart from whales and seals, the sea otter is the only mammal on earth that can live out its entire life in the sea, and they cope with the rigors of their lives in remarkable ways. The otter population in Alaska may be threatened by oil spills and other natural disasters, but human foster parents at the Monterey Bay Aquarium are teaching orphaned pups how to be sea otters and getting them back out to sea.
