Programme celebrates the centenary of Poirot's first appearance in print in the UK in "The Mysterious Affair at Styles" and explores the extraordinary impact he has had on our popular culture by looking at some of his most famous cases, from "Murder on the Orient Express" to "Death on the Nile". The documentary also examines how Christie came to create Poirot, how she felt about him and how her own life inspired some of her most celebrated novels.
