This programme lifts the veil of secrecy that envelopes this legendary monument even to this day.

Then we travel to the heart of Beijing, the capital of China and the amazing Forbidden City, which was built in the 15th century by over one million laborers and was the home of 24 emperors, at one time the palace was forbidden to all except them and the members of their court.
The secret world which thrived here remains an enigma to this day.
