In Western China on the vast and remote Qinghai Tibetan plateau, we meet hardy animals including snow leopards and foxes, perfectly adapted to survive the rugged landscapes of the regions three new national parks.

China's mountainous central region is home to some of the country's most iconic creatures, from pandas to golden snub-nosed monkeys, who are making their home in the safety of its two enchanting national parks.

China's Eastern region is one of the most densely populated on Earth, but even here people are making space for nature and some of the rarest animals on earth are finding sanctuary in its four new national parks.
