Mega Shippers: Series 1 Across the globe there is a hidden army of workers keeping the world’s cargo moving 365 days a year. Whether it’s high value or high volume they’ll do whatever it takes to ensure their cargo gets delivered on time and in perfect condition - in all weather, day and night. There are at least 20 million shipping containers crossing the world’s seas at any given time carrying anything from lobsters to luxury sports cars. Mega Shippers gets exclusive access behind the scenes to Ports on both sides of the Atlantic to find out what it takes for the largest freight operators and shipping agents to deliver goods 24/7. From the delivery of an 18 million dollar super yacht to a 20 ton shipment of sweet potatoes... we’ll watch ground crews on-load and off-load these precious, but very different cargoes - conquering monumental challenges from miscalculations to malfunctions. Shipping from England to Baltimore, $34 million of vehicles are waiting to be moved across the Atlantic, but their ride is running late. In New Jersey, a multi-million dollar convoy of nuclear reactor parts presents unique challenges to the crew.

An $18 million super yacht must cross the Atlantic to get to her winter home in Florida but its hurricane season. In England, the crew needs to get a 20-ton aircraft cabin trainer worth a small fortune to its new home in Africa 7,000 miles away.

Shippers in Virginia have just 17 hours to shift 5,700 tons of cargo onto a barge, but a huge thunderstorm threatens their chances of hitting the deadline. In Florida, one of the world's largest cruise ships needs to restock, but time is running out

A $49 million rig needs to be relocated from Texas to an oilfield off the Indian coast, and mega shippers will need a radical solution to get it there. Meanwhile, a crew has to lift a 870-ton piece aboard a cargo ship to build a $4 billion warship.

A nearly $2 billion bridge is being built. Mega Shippers need to lift portions of the bridge 180 feet above a river. In Florida, $150 million-worth of yachts needs to be moved without incident.

A helicopter has just come off the production line; however, shipping it across the Atlantic in immaculate condition presents a unique set of challenges; a rally car must be moved across a few countries in a matter of days.

In Louisiana, tons of biofuel is destined for a power plant across the Atlantic; a ship loader dangles in the sky; a faulty radio could squash the operation.
