[edit] Information

Micky Flanagan’s Detour de France Micky is going on a Jolly Up! They went there to cycle - but decided to have a laugh instead… There are two kinds of men in this world – those that use maps and Micky Flanagan. Join Micky and bricky Noel on a detour through France quite unlike any other you’ve seen before.: Unicycling Clowns, cat-phobic jesters, a chicken that looks like Boris Johnson, gypsies, cross-dressing, nudism and cosmic wine – it’s all here –- in a hilarious bromance that see’s Micky take on his greatest challenge yet…the French!

[edit] Part 1

The comedian hops across the Channel and jumps on a bicycle to sample the sights and sounds of France, joined by his best friend Noel Lynch, a brickie and cycling enthusiast. The pair start off in Calais with some essential pampering, fully aware that no cyclist worth his or her salt would hit the road without a facial or a leg wax. Then it's bon voyage as they tackle a small portion of the 150-mile race between Paris and Roubaix lovingly known as the Hell of the North. The cobbles may look pretty - but they aren't bike-friendly.

[edit] Part 2

The comedian and his friend Noel Lynch stop off to sample a few glasses of bubbly at some of the region's premier champagne houses. Later, a spot of nudity is called for when Micky picks the brains of a British couple who like to frequent a naturist camp, while Noel takes on one of cycling's greatest challenges.

[edit] Part 3

The comedian and his friend Noel continue their journey through France by heading south. Stopping off in Camargue, they are thrown into the thick of an annual gypsy festival and sample the wares of a cosmic wine-maker. The duo move on to St Remy and the Saint Paul de Mausole, a psychiatric hospital that uses art and music to treat troubled individuals - and it turns out one of the centre's most famous patients was Vincent van Gogh. In Monaco, they are joined on their bikes by former F1 star David Coulthard, before Micky makes a splash in a transvestite bar in Cannes.

[edit] Part 4

The end is in sight for comedian Micky Flanagan and best mate Noel Lynch, but before they say `au revoir' to France, they have a few more trips to make. They begin in Marseille, the second largest city in the country, where they learn about the ancient martial art of savate and taste the world's most expensive soup. Then it's on to Lourdes, before a quick trip to Bordeaux to sample a particularly revered bottle of wine and visit a museum dedicated to berets. Their tour comes to an end in Paris, city de lamour', where they seal their bromance on the Love Lock Bridge.
