On Saturday 29th March 2014, the first same-sex weddings in England and Wales took place, and this programme offers viewers front-row seats at one of the ceremonies from that day. Benjamin Till and Nathan Taylor are staging their nuptials as a musical, with show-stopping ensembles featuring the whole congregation of family, friends and special guests, including a duet by the grooms' mothers. Stephen Fry introduces and commentates on the service, which also features performances, messages and appearances by Olivia Newton-John, the Feeling, Boy George, Will Young, West End leading lady Hannah Waddingham, Paul O'Grady and Jon Snow.
