[edit] Information

A thrilling one-off documentary offers an insight into the recruitment for the RAF's elite formation flying squad. Two places in the team are up for grabs, and cameras follow nine eager pilots as they head to Cyprus to undergo the arduous selection procedure to join The Red Arrows. Every move of the hopeful pilots is scrutinised and they have to perform manoeuvres they have never previously attempted. They are seen being tested for how they score in flying tests, and also how they get along as a team by playing golf, or socialising together. The Red Arrows must pick just two to join them. There's extraordinary footage in HD from the cockpit, underfuselage positions and heart-stopping air-to-air tracking shots. IWC Media production for BBC Scotland; Presented by Julia Bradbury; Director/Producer Martin Williams
