[edit] Information

Victory By Design is a landmark award winning documentary series, which profiles the most important examples of iconic motoring marques. Programmes cover Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Ford, Lotus, Corvette, and some of the most important grand prix cars ever built in Grand Prix Greats, all shot in international locations: driven and presented by race car expert Alain de Cadenet with the result that presenter de Cadenet has now probably driven more important race cars than anybody alive today. The programmes are all action, with minimal archive and interviews, relying on action of the cars to tell the story. Individual cars are the most authentic of their type, rarely seen and often come from private collections and museums. This episode of Victory by Design: Alfa Romeo show is a pure treat for the 'Alfisti'. Almost feature-length and featuring most of the milestone sports racers and Grand Prix cars that helped establish Alfa Romeo as one of the truly great marques in automobile history. This show will give the Alfa enthusiast a real chance to appreciate the beauty and power of the Alfa heritage and the marque's place in automobile history. Alain de Cadenet, a true authority on Alfas, particularly the pre-WW2 cars of Vittorio Jano and Enzo Ferrari, drives and appraises many of the actual cars that won the great classic races which would help create the Alfa legend that's still with us today. If the action and Alfa history doesn't grab you, then the full-on Alfa sound will! Like others in the Victory by Design series, the Alfa show is a must for those who love the marque. Featuring the milestone cars that helped make Alfa such a charismatic name on the race tracks of the world, from the early cars, through to the present day. The programmes were produced by Gemini Pictures and directed by feature film and documentary filmmaker Tony Maylam. In the US the series was consistent ratings winner on Speed Channel and attracted excellent viewer and critical feedback internationally on various Discovery Channels.
