To celebrate a centenary of aviation Airshow World 100 visits the Paris Airshow and four shows in Great Britain. Airshow World 100 is presented by former Tornado navigator and Gulf War veteran John Nichol with each show including specially shot features relating to the show or its location, and discovers the history behind many famous and not so famous planes. Airshow World 100 visited Paris, Coventry, Jersey, RAF Waddington and Breighton for the recent aviation celebration. Produced by Gemini Pictures for Discovery Networks Europe

John Nichol attends the 50th Paris Airshow, where he is introduced to the Airbus A380 and talks to Boeing 777 test pilot Captain Frank P Santoni.

John Nichol heads to Coventry, where he has a chance to see a Lockheed Electra, the 'Sally B' Flying Fortress and the Douglas DC-3.

[edit] Waddington

John Nichol watches a Battle of Britain memorial flight and sees Harriers, Nimrods and Tornados, before talking to Flight Lieutenant Ed Straw about flying the Lancaster.

In Breighton, John Nichol sees early examples of aircraft through to the Second World War, including a replica of the Fokker Tri-plane modelled on the Lt. Jacob's "Black Baron".

John Nichol heads to Jersey, and witnesses the 185ft wingspan of the B-52 Stratofortress, before talking to Wing Commander Guy Stockwell about Jaguars.
