[edit] Information

Alien Contact Many scientists believe that we are on the verge of contacting alien life-forms. Join the search for extraterrestrials, and hear from those convinced that life exists beyond our planet. Are we the only intelligent species alive in the universe? For years scientists believed the amazing chain of events that led to intelligent life on Earth was truly a one off. We just got lucky. But today, scientists are convinced we are not alone. The real question is not whether alien life exists but when contact will be made. Naked Science examines the latest evidence in the search for extraterrestrials and interviews key players, from planet hunters to the people who could be the first to hear from outer space. But time may be against us. For the last fifty years, we've been transmitting radio and TV signals around the planet. Those signals have leaked off the planet and are racing into deep space at the speed of light. Right now, a more advanced race may be listening to our transmissions and deciding how to reply. Would they come in peace or destroy us?
