[edit] Information

A powerful and revelatory account of one of the most hideous crimes in human history told from the perspectives of 16 extraordinary Holocaust survivors. The survivors retell of the rise of fascism, the uprooting of families, and the long journey from centuries-old Jewish communities into Auschwitz. The film includes a rare and haunting collection of photographs called the "Auschwitz Album", and chronicles with unflinching detail the survival challenges at Auschwitz-Birkenau, as well as tales of resistance inside the camp, including sabotaging armaments for the Nazi war machine.
