Anita Rani returns to travel across the country and discover the remarkable secret history of Britain's beaches. Chapter 1: Cornwall Anita begins in Cornwall, a county renowned for its 420 miles of glorious coastline. At Porthcurno beach, Anita uncovers the hidden story of ingenious Victorian engineering buried beneath the golden sand, and how this remote spot remains central to Britain's global communications. Chapter 2: Kent Some of the secrets of coastal Kent are revealed - from a forgotten hero of Dunkirk, to James Bond, and the master painter JMW Turner's Margate love affair. Chapter 3: North West In Lancashire, Anita revisits the coastline of her childhood, from Blackpool's Pleasure Beach to Morecambe for a knickerbocker glory, and onwards to beautiful Lytham St Annes. Chapter 4: Wales Along the stunning Welsh coastline, Anita explores the legends of Harlech Castle, the last invasion of Britain, the ancient coracle, and a leisure revolution in Rhyl.
