"Earth From Above" is a serie of 15 documentaries (plus a special Copenhaguen episode) of 90 minutes each, presented by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and dedicated to the major challenges faced by our planet, It was broadcast on France 2 and France 3, French national television. "Earth From Above" brings the viewer beautiful High Definition imags of the Earth. Each episodes talks about a particular environmental challenge. The show "Earth From Above" is 4 years of shooting for 4 seasons and a total of 15 episodes plus special Copenhague ("A night for the Earth")

Feed 6 billion people is the daily challenge of the world's farmers .
To get there, breeding and intensive agriculture have appeared there fifty years. But today productivist system is exceeded. Too many pesticides pollute our land and we need time and nature to properly raise animals.
In this program , Yann Arthus -Bertrand takes us on a trip to France and the world to meet farmers who fight against these abuses . We also see that we as consumers can make a difference by changing our eating habits. For our health and sustainable development of our resources depend .
Overflying Paris cultivated plains of Beauce, the Camargue rice Banana plantations in the Caribbean, through the Mont Blanc and Alsace, Yann Arthus -Bertrand continues around the world of sustainable development and protection of environment. He shows us the incredible riches of our planet and goes to meet those who propose solutions to find the breeding patterns and balanced culture.

Do Wild Animals still exist?
To answer this question, the team of Yann Arthus -Bertrand is visiting in South Africa , an exemplary country for the protection of biodiversity. There, women and men manage every day to protect wildlife. They teach us that cohabitation is still possible, and more : that live in contact with wild animals opens the way to a humanistic philosophy.
In this episode , Yann Arthus -Bertrand makes us discover this nation arc -en-ciel (a concept invented by Desmond Tutu after the abolition of apartheid in 1994) : South Africa and the public and private nature reserves .
Kruger Park through the Reserve Motswari from the tip of Cape Overview of Robben Island , Yann Arthus -Bertrand surprises us with unspoilt landscapes . And sometimes even with vast spaces where human footprint remains once invisible.
Yann Arthus -Bertrand continues his world tour in support of the protection of the environment and its wildlife , too often the victim of the selfishness of man . The water in rivers and streams . The water and its beauty, water and power , water and fragility ... The water we all need becomes scarce, our only fault : some rivers are dry , rivers are diverted , cut by dams , others are polluted , for decades .
In this new episode of From Above , Yann Arthus -Bertrand and his team have gone to Argentina to explore the great rivers , where authorities arrested them after a few days of shooting . Interest in Yacireta dam and its impact on local populations and the environment, could disturb . The famous photographer has left the country for France , where the show continued .
Yann Arthus -Bertrand and continues to tour the world and its state of the planet as a guideline these great rivers suffering , sick excesses of man. Argentina to France via China and disproportionate Three Gorges dam , but also with Botswana Okavango Earth From Above makes you once again discover another world , beautiful but threatened . However, reverse is possible. The man with his genius correct errors : the Aral Sea once gone back , and New York, millions of people have drinking water thanks to the natural virtues of the forest.
To live the great rivers , is the discovery of places, men and women who fight for our rivers find their rightful place on Earth.

Forests are essential to humans. They capture CO2 , promote the formation of clouds , so as the rain, they also protect the soil from erosion and ensure habitat for wildlife ...
Forests play a key role in the delicate balance that we are with nature. It is essential to humanity and yet since man appeared on Earth, it destroyed 50% of the world's forests .
For this eighth episode of From Above , Yann Arthus -Bertrand and his team went to Madagascar , the Indian Ocean " Red Island ". This island is experiencing a very old intensive deforestation, which is unfortunately still relevant. But instead , efforts to fight against the indiscriminate felling of trees multiply to sensitize the local population to natural resources of their island.
Yann Arthus -Bertrand continues his world tour and the state of the planet as thread forests suffering from excess rights. Madagascar, through the United States , Brazil , Cameroon, Eritrea or by Yann Arthus -Bertrand part in the discovery of the most beautiful forests, those that inhabit those that protect or those who to live.
This episode of Vu du Ciel , The Call of the Forest, is the discovery of places but it is mostly a meeting with those who protect this priceless heritage .
