Chapter 1: Gregory Doran Remembers The former artistic director of the RSC recalls his star-studded 2016 show that celebrated the life and work of William Shakespeare. Chapter 2: Shakespeare Live 2016 David Tennant assembles a host of luminaries from the worlds of film, theatre and music to celebrate the life, work and legacy of William Shakespeare, 400 years after his death. Taking up residence at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2016, with the then Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in attendance, David is joined by fellow actors Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Meera Syal and Joseph Fiennes, musician Rufus Wainwright, rapper Akala and comedy star Tim Minchin, all of whom share their thoughts on the Bard's enduring influence on the performing arts, from his home medium of the theatre, through to opera, jazz, dance and musicals. The show also includes contributions by performers from the English National Opera and the Royal Ballet.
