David Harewood embarks on a personal three-year journey across Britain, Jamaica and Crimea following the creation of a major new statue of a woman who has always been a heroine of his, Mary Seacole - who is renowned for her work supporting sick and wounded servicemen during the Crimean War, as well as combatting racial prejudice. The statue of Mary Seacole is the first ever statue of a historical figure who was a woman of colour to be erected in Britain.
