London’s Great Bridges: Lighting The Thames Series 1 Charlie Luxton goes behind the scenes exploring the enormous £45 million art project set to illuminate central London's bridges with more than 100,000 lights.

Charlie travels to America to meet Leo Villareal, the artist behind the project. He gets together with the Chewing Gum Man on Millennium Bridge and explores the varied history of London Bridge.

As work on the bridge starts, an Egyptian goose lays an egg putting the schedule in a spin. Charlie Luxton goes dangling off the side of London Bridge.

[edit] Part 3

After three years of planning the big day arrives as 69,000 lights illuminate four of London's iconic bridges in the world's longest piece of public art.
