[edit] Information

Examines the killing of British tourist Peter Falconio in Australia's Northern Territory in July 2001, exploring the details and questions that surround this infamous case.

[edit] Chapter 1:

Andrew Fraser, formerly one of Australia's foremost criminal defence lawyers, begins the reinvestigation into the Peter Falconio story, visits the Outback crime scene and speaks to a leading forensic scientist and witnesses from the time of the murder, who raise serious questions about evidence in the case.

[edit] Chapter 2:

A look at how sole eyewitness Joanne Lees came under immense scrutiny and pressure from both the British and Australian press as they hounded her continuously for an interview, while certain detectives were also sceptical of her version of events. The programme includes detailed sections of a video showing Joanne being confronted by detectives about seeming inconsistences in her account of the attack.

[edit] Chapter 3:

Former criminal defence lawyer Andrew Fraser questions the verdict of the murder trial, that saw Bradley Murdoch found guilty of murder. The programme examines other potential suspects, including an eyewitness account of a couple talking to a man who matched the police description of the killer, as well as considering theories that Falconio is still alive, since his body was never found and several people have reported encountering him.

[edit] Chapter 4:

Examines how DNA found on Joanne Lees' shirt and the couple's Kombi van were decisive in the murder trial of Bradley Murdoch, but even with this evidence, there are serious questions still to be answered in this controversial case.
