[edit] Information

An oasis is really a 'desert island' - an island of fertile irrigated land in a vast sea of desert. Rainwater which fell many hundreds of years ago, now bubbles up to the surface and makes life possible for communities of people and animals alike. Sir David Attenborough narrates a look at the teeming natural life surrounding an oasis.
