[edit] Information

While they are a favorite of zoo-goers everywhere, Giant Pandas are only indigenous to a few mountain ranges in central and southern China. This Smithsonian Channel special offers a rare glimpse of Giant Pandas in their natural habitat by traveling to China s remote Qinling Mountains and observing the eating habits, mating rituals, and survival methods of these beloved but increasingly endangered creatures (of which there are less than 2000 in the wild).
