[edit] Information

Walking With Monsters: Life Before Dinosaurs This Emmy-winning program takes you back to a time when gargantuan fish, reptiles and sea scorpions ruled the earth. The journey that began more than 500 million years ago charts the evolution of some of the planet's most extraordinary creatures.

[edit] Part 1

This episode looks at the evolution of the predators that lived 550 million years ago, and how the first amphibians migrated from sea to land.

[edit] Part 2

Three hundred million years ago, the forests were ruled by insects. This was a world in which giant dragonflies battled with two-foot-wide spiders.

[edit] Part 3

By the late Permian period, a furry, ferret-like mammal had evolved onto two feet, vaguely resembling the human form. Could this be our ancestor?
