[edit] Information

During WWII, military aviation truly came of age. In six brief years, aircraft evolved from fragile wood and fabric biplanes to jet powered fighters capable of more than 500 miles an hour. This collection includes some of the primary antagonists in the war over Europe and the Pacific, and explores how the group of aircraft helped revolutionize aerial combat. Watch P-40 Warhawk, P-51 Mustang, B-24 Liberator, B-17 Flying Fortress, P-38 Lightning, P-47 Thunderbolt and B-29 Superfortress.
