Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Gillian Burke host from a brand new location in the Cairngorms, the UK's largest national park, and its wildest landscape. Day 1: The cameras are set deep in this wintry landscape, hoping to capture pine martens and red squirrels, golden eagles and crested tits. Iolo Williams also joins the team in Scotland, and there will be a look at how Britain's wildlife is faring up and down the country. Day 2: Gillian Burke has been on the trail of a surprising winter insect spectacle, whilst Iolo Williams is hoping to track down one of Scotland's rarest and most iconic mammals, the wildcat. Day 3: The team looks at some of the smallest residents, wood ants, who are still active throughout the winter and two of the UK's most loved owl species are put the test, with barn owl v tawny. Day 4: The team reviews the extraordinary events that have taken place in their new, wild home in the Cairngorms. There are red squirrels and pine martens, crested tits and golden eagles, and a round-up of what has been going on up and down the UK this winter.
