[edit] Information

Leonardo da Vinci is the emblematic figure of the Renaissance. Virtuoso painter and visionary engineer, but also architect, botanist, anatomist and mathematician. The image of the old scientist with the beard of a prophet would almost make us forget that he was first of all a dashing and bubbling young man with a solar charm, a man of flesh and blood with his joys and sorrows. Driven by an obsessive quest for perfection, his life experienced many twists and turns before finding a glorious outcome and the most vibrant posterity. On the occasion of the five hundred years of his death, we trace the life of Leonardo da Vinci, from his youth in Florence from the Renaissance to his later years in the majestic castles of the Loire, in the company of his friend King Francois 1st.
