[edit] Information

From Northern Canada to New Mexico, the Rockies are the backbone of the North American continent, yet the Northern and Southern Rockies are fundamentally different - and the powerful forces that created them remain an ongoing cause of debate. The Rocky Mountain range has extraordinary diversity, and although the first scientific exploration began with Lewis and Clark on their famous expedition to explore the American West as early as 1909, the mysteries of these mountains are still being unlocked a century later.
