Women Behind Bars with Trevor McDonald In this brand new series for ITV, Sir Trevor McDonald ventures inside two of Indiana’s most dangerous female prisons, and witnesses a world of seduction and manipulation as inmates prey on each other and those who guard them. Trevor gets unique access to Rockville Penitentiary, the largest female prison in Indiana. Here hundreds of women are processed each week, both murderers and continual re-offenders alike. Trevor also goes to Indiana Women’s Prison, housing the most extreme cases. He meets some of the most dangerous offenders and women who will spend the rest of their life behind bars.

Part one of two. The veteran broadcaster follows life inside two prisons holding some of America's most notorious female criminals - Indiana Women's Prison and Rockville Correctional Facility in the same US state. Among the inmates he meets in the first edition is Sarah Pender, who went on the run while serving 110 years for double murder, before being captured four months later, and Martha Search, who is looking forward to getting to grips with modern technology when her 20-year sentence comes to an end.

Part two of two. The veteran broadcaster meets more inmates inside two of Indiana's most dangerous women's prisons. Among them are Dawn Hopkins, who was sentenced to life for murdering her three-month-old son, and Sarah `Cindy' White, who was incarcerated as a teenager and will spend the rest of her life behind bars. The journalist also hears the remarkable story of Linda Darby who, after escaping from jail in 1972, spent the next 35 years on the run - before the law finally caught up with her.
