[edit] Information

The main attribute of this plane was its enormous firepower which could be released at any place in very short time. This way the "Sturzkampfjger" (Dive bomber) offered a great support of the Nazi army in addition to their devastating psychological effect. The JU87 was the airborn artillery. Bombarding specially guarded targets and tank defenses were other operational areas of the "Stuka". Despite its relatively low speed, this airplane was an important factor of the german war strategy. Many authentic footage -even from cameras built into the cockpits- during the time of their deployments make this video to a fascinating and thought inducing document.
